Crucial win against Slavia

Our players managed to secure a decisive victory over Slavia, a win that marks an important step in the quest to move closer to the holding positions. Our Cityzens, determined to keep up their positive momentum, showed an excellent level of play throughout the match.

From the outset, our players dominated the first half, controlling the ball and creating numerous chances. This dominance culminated in a penalty, brilliantly taken by Alban Kosumi, which gave our team the lead.

While our players were in control of the match, Slavia managed to equalise with their first shot on goal, a blow to the players who had dominated the game up to that point. The score at half-time was therefore

1-1, leaving the suspense intact for the second half.

Back on the pitch, City knew they had to win. Their fighting spirit and determination were palpable, and despite the growing tension, they continued to create chances. Their eagerness to score that second goal was palpable, but their opponents' defence held firm.

It was finally thanks to a magnificent team effort that our players were able to regain the lead. Jeton Shabanaj, following a fine combination, found the back of the net, giving his team a precious goal that sent the fans in attendance into raptures.

With this win, we move back to within a point of the leaders and Benfica, who we host at home next Sunday.
