CITY GIRLS

"Introducing young girls to sport and raising their long-term awareness of the benefits and values of sport".

CITY GIRLS is a dynamic and inspiring initiative launched as part of the CITY FOR COMMUNITIES programme, aimed at promoting women's football and encouraging the empowerment of young girls through sport. This project is part of our commitment to promoting gender equality and providing equitable opportunities for all girls, regardless of their socio-economic background.

THE OBJECTIVES

To promote women's football:

CITY GIRLS aims to encourage girls' participation in football by providing them with suitable training facilities, resources and specific programmes to meet their needs.

Developing life skills:

As well as football-related skills, the project focuses on developing important life skills such as self-confidence, teamwork, discipline and leadership. These skills are essential not only on the pitch, but also in everyday life.

Promoting inclusion and diversity:

CITY GIRLS is open to all girls, whatever their background or ability. The project aims to create an inclusive environment where every participant feels valued and respected, helping to break down gender stereotypes in sport.

Create role models:

By showcasing female players and coaches, CITY GIRLS aims to inspire young girls to pursue their sporting dreams. These role models play a crucial role in motivating participants and promoting women's football.

IMPACT OF THE PROJECT

CITY GIRLS has a significant impact on the participants and their communities. By promoting access to women's football, we help to empower young girls, promote gender equality and create more inclusive communities.

Participants gain valuable skills that will help them overcome challenges and achieve their ambitions, both on and off the pitch.

With CITY GIRLS, we are determined to transform the landscape of women's football and offer young girls the means to fulfil their potential through sport
